The Western
Cape is South

lot more. The Overberg's perfect whale-watching perches provide excitement of a

Fynbos Half Marathon

This unique race is run on an out and back course on
gravel roads through the Eastern section of the De Hoop Nature
Reserve, home of the Cape
Vulture. The experience
is enhanced by the beautiful Fynbos landscape and the chance to spot game.
Walkers are welcome and a six kilometre fun run will be held at the same time.
2011 will see the 16th running of the race.
There are plenty of hiking trails through the reserve should you want to spend
the day exploring afterwards.

Women’s Day Swim

The Women's Day Swim forms part of the Cadiz Swim Series
-- a succession of cold sea swims that take place around the Cape Peninsula,
leading up to the Cadiz
Freedom Swim in 2012. All funds raised from Women's Day Swim will go to the
women of the Western Cape Cerebral Palsy Association. Relay teams comprising
four swimmers, with at least one woman, will take to the cold Atlantic at Camps Bay
on Tuesday 9 August. Everyone is invited to participate, registration is at
09h00 and the the race starts at 10h00.
